Grassroots organizing

The grassroots organization “Free the Kyritz-Ruppiner-moorland” has dissolved itself. It did so because it reached its goal of preventing that a former Russian military training ground be used by the German military for the training and testing of the dropping of bombs. Here’s an example how grassroots, democratic civil society organizing can reach its goals despite strong resistance by the state! In celebration of the movement, we have created information boards that trace back its tumultuous history.
